Markets - Industrial

Vectorply engineered quadraxial reinforcements are used in the pultrusion process to manufacture the majority of composite bridge decks in service today.
The demand for composites in industrial market has focused on three basic requirements: a) How to extend the service life of existing structures b) how to build for seismic activity, and c) how to protect public buildings from bomb blasts and other acts of terrorism. For the past eight years Vectorply has been an integral part in the development of both fiberglass and carbon fiber solutions for all of the above cases. Specifically, Vectorply engineered quadraxial reinforcements to be used in conjunction with pultrusion to manufacture the majority of composite bridge decks in service today.
Some structures such as parking garages have been able to expand in height and capacity by reinforcing existing lower floor columns and beams with Vectorply's VectorUltra™, series of carbon fiber and other hybrid reinforcements. These reinforcements are designed with handling characteristics appropriate for on-site installations while delivering the strength and stiffness required.
